Localisation: Japan needs to get rid of evil localisers that are destroying their works.
Unfortunately, it's hard these days to get good localisation and translations of some great works from the East. It's a major issue with many self-righteous, narcissistic evil douche bags committing cultural vandalism of works of entertainment. Localisers have one job. Translate the product for the Western audience, perhaps making certain cultural references and certain nuances easier to understand.
Sadly, this is lost on the evil narcissists who proclaim themselves to be localisers. What we get instead are completely butchered rewrites featuring an evil, racist ideology that caters to Commiefornia and nowhere else. No one wants to see real world political dogma in their anime, manga or video games. Entertainment is meant to be a form of escapism and fun, a way to relax after a hard days' work. It's not meant to be a soap box for something a very minority of people actually care about. Enough with the virtue signalling, it has no place here.
If the Western audience consumes Japanese entertainment, it's because it IS Japanese. There's no room for your Western worldviews nor political beliefs as they're out of place there. Also, enough with trying to make non-trans characters trans. Japan has much more nuanced gender non-conforming things such as Otokonoko's. This harkens back to the atrocious and intentional Seven Seas mis-translation of I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend Into A Girl. The character was never trans, but the translation of course, changed it.
Don't get me started on the ridiculous character creation screens in video games where instead of male or female, we now have to choose between the idiotic body type 1 or 2. It's male or female and if we're going to pretend it's not, then why can't we take the top off of both of them? Seems like we're silently admitting it's male and female to me...
There's also this puritan sanitisation which is absolutely hysterical. God forbid that a woman be sexy and use her femininity in an empowering manner in order to complete her mission. Just petty, pathetic jealousy going overboard because some folks are scared of 2D women being attractive. Jiggle physics are fun. The funniest part about this sanitisation is the fact that female gamers prefer playing as attractive characters just like anyone else.
It's all cultural vandalism and quite frankly racist when it is enforced rather strictly on Japanese works. Ironic when these same people preach tolerance when they have none. Just take a look at how they respond to criticism and concerns from the fanbases of the works that they are so blatantly debasing. They choose to insult the customers, the fans, which is a big no-no in business and leads to a decline in sales as one would expect.
